After Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3 announcement, every smartphone vendor is back to have atleast one large screen phone added to their portfolio. Recently Acer added Liquid S1 to their portfolio sporting 5.7 inches large screen display.
At Computex, Taipei Acer Liquid S1 with massive 5.7 inches display is announced with mid-range specifications on the board. Axed between tablet PC and mobile phone, it can appeal to niche customers and could well be a perfect Galaxy Mega 5.8 competitor.
On to 720p HD display screen, it’s powered with budget-oriented Mediatek quad core chipset clocked at 1.5 Ghz supported with 1 GB RAM and no LTE support. Acer Technologies adds dual SIM card slot to this it as it’s quite important in some markets. Backed up with 2400 mAh battery, it’s a big worrisome considering it has large 5.7 inch LCD display but it’s removable. It boards 8 GB maximum inbuilt storage (7 GB is user available) and backed up with a micro SD card slot supporting 32 GB of maximum storage capacity.
There is Float Caller Notification, a mini-window to take calls, dismiss it and reply with a quick message. It has front facing camera with 88-degree wide viewing angle and 24 mm lens with say cheese and take a snap feature. Furthermore, Acer Liquid S1 can be used in real time for group sharing & live interaction using 2-way Live Screen app and DTS Studio Sound brings the cinema experience on to a bigger 720p HD display.
