Apple Has 1 Billion Active Devices Worldwide

Apple now gets into figures and numbers as the company today revealed their quarterly results. The Cupertino based iPhone maker is lately into many devices as Apple Watch has played a bigger role in expanding the company. News are out that Apple has crossed 1 Billion active devices worldwide as based on data collected within the past 90 days.

In first quarter of 2015, Apple reported a total of 74.8 million active users with 16.1 million using iPads and 5.3 million to Mac, the rest goes for Apple iPhone and iPods.

Apple also said that 2015 holiday season was one of the biggest ever for them from the App Store point of view as customer have spent record breaking $1.1 million in-app purchases and on full apps price.

Further, company also projected that the latest iOS 9 is running on 75% of devices as measured on January 11.

WhatsApp and Google’s GMail recently crossed 1 Billion active users on the same day eventually. Well that different altogether because that’s more of services/app but quite interestingly about Apple iPhone is that it’s only smartphone to feature in top 15 among most selling smartphones in the world as iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus just ticked over 100 million units sale overall until now.
