Ming-Chi Kuo analyst at KGI Securities has published a new report regarding the upcoming iPhone 2016 launches and we have several new confection regarding iPhone models next year.
iPhone 7 Plus & a 4-Inch iPhone
Kuo believes that apart from iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, there will be a new 4-inch iPhone launch early next year. When we talk about 4-inch, it takes us back to the past. It will be an upgraded iPhone 5S model and it will not feature the 3D Touch support to make it differentiated from the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
People still love small size smartphones, it’s really hard to find a smartphone with mid-range or good specifications with display size less than 5 inch. Yes, we are talking about Android smartphones because Apple has an iPhone with 5 inch display but they are too costlier than its competitors.

Kuo also added that Apple is expecting sale of 20-30 million units of the new 4-inch iPhone 5S by the end of 2016. Well, that’s about the 4-inch iPhone but we are more concerned of iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 here.
Both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will feature 3D Touch with a distantly upgrade to Apple A10 chip with increased performance. Yeah! That reminds me of Tim Cook again saying “New Apple phone is 70% faster, bla.bla.bla.bla” and now they have another parameter in picture – 3D Touch.
iPhone 7 Plus Specs
The Curpertino tech giant is expected to differentiate between the two sizes of iPhone 7 in terms of RAM. The 5.5 inch iPhone 7 Plus will be powered with 3 Gigs of RAM while the smaller 4.7 inch iPhone 7 model will carry the same 2 GB RAM as seen on current iPhone models. We could well be adopting iOS 10 for newest iPhone’s next year.
Reducing the size of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be top most priority as the 3D touch hardware costed 11% increase in size and weight of the device.
iPhone 7 Plus Launch
Well, that’s quite easy to predict, we are expecting iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus launch in third-quarter of 2016, maybe in September or October 2016. Before those dates, we will have 4-inch iPhone 5S and Apple Watch 2 launches.
