Apple at WWDC 2014 officially debuted iOS 8 update for eligible iPhones and iPads. The latest OS for Apple devices brings out new improvements and features, highlight being the ability to interact with OS X Yosemite. Furthermore, iCloud Drive will be serious threat to DropBox. More improvements includes ability to directly reply to text from small pop-up on notification bar and keyboard modifications. You will be able to also install third party keyboards like SwiftKey and Swype very soon. Also iPhone 6 will be announced during fall this year.
iOS 8 Update – Eligible Handsets
iOS 8 update will be available in fall this year for iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 5th Gen, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad Mini with Retina Display, iPad 4 and iPad 3.
Statistically iOS 8 update will be heading to all iOS7 devices but iPhone 4 is exception as the device is no longer sold in stores and already gone through three major updates. The same is the case with iPad 2 tablet.
