Asustek Computer has finally rolled out much anticipated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update to Transformer Primer TF700T. So with this update, Asus adds the third tablet after Transformer Pad TF300T & Transformer Prime TF201. This is a clear advantage of Google partnership to produce Nexus 7 tablet.

This update is available for various models such as TF700- GD64D, TF700-PR64D & TF700-PR32. This update is available for download via Over the Air and you should connect your tablet to Wi-Fi before proceeding. The total firmware update process will take not more than 30 minutes of time, depends on Wi-Fi download speed.

The following are the improvements included –

  • Flexible customization environment.
  • Customize wallpapers and widget on lock screen
  • Adobe Flash Player is not supported
  • Stability and improvements

How to Update

Since this is an OTA update, you might have received an update notification on your device. If you have received any such follow the instructions and update your device.

If you haven’t received any notifications then you can trigger it manually as well. From your device go to Menu > Settings > About Tablet and then tap on Software Update. You will first need to connect your tablet to Wi-Fi ensuring that you have backed-up important data as well.

Once the update is downloaded, it will be automatically applied to your tablet and your device will be restarted.
