The following are the reasons for WhatsApp Error 24 on most of the Android Phones, the reasons behind this error and possible solution on how to fix it.
Reason for This Error
This error is due to Android RunTime [ART] and commonly found on phones and tablets running on Android 4.4 Kitkat. This error maybe found on Android higher version which includes but not limited to Android Lollipop, Marshmallow or the Android Nougat. For those pertaining this error they will find com.whatsapp folder inside their data/data directory and it’s mainly left behind due to failed install of WhatsApp earlier.
How to Fix
Currently there is no reason why it’s happening and it can be prevented skipping error but the user who have this problem can fix this issue by following guide –
- You will have to reset your phone to factory default. To do that you should go to Settings from App menu.
- Now under Settings you will find the option of Backup and Reset.
- Tap on it and then tap on Factory Data Reset.
- Now after confirming all the details so that you don’t lose any data, then you are ready to hit “Reset Phone“.
Now setup your phone and try to install WhatsApp by directly downloading it from Play Store. You should try to verify your WhatsApp account in the first attempt itself.
