As far as the software update goes, HTC is the one company which always promises software update delivery within a fixed period of time for their flagships phones. As soon as the Android N was out of developer preview and officially named as Android Nougat, HTC became the first company to speak out in public. Officials from HTC confirmed that HTC 10, HTC One M9 and One A9 will receive the Android Nougat update very soon. Now it’s officially confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be arriving to the following handsets –
- HTC 10
- HTC One M9
- HTC One A9
The exact date and the release date of the update to these phones is not known yet.

Many people who owns other 2016 and 2016 released HTC phones were disappointed as their device is not listed by HTC for the Android 7.0 Nougat update schedule. People complained of the following devices not been included in the update roll out plan –

- HTC One M8 Eye
