LG ditches Android Wear and opts for proprietary Web OS on the recently announced LG Watch Urbane LTE.
LG Electronics has come up with a new variant of recently launched Watch Urbane named as Watch Urbane LTE bringing the 4G LTE support to smartwatch. This watch by LG includes voice calling support and ditches Android Wear for WebOS. Regarding Web OS, LG acquired it from Hewlett-Packard February last year in order to bring it on their web-enabled Smart TVs. The same Web OS is now used on smartwatches as well.
