A recent ad has confirmed that Oppo R9 will be launching on March 17 in China. After officially launching Oppo R7 & Oppo R7s globally, after it’s launch in China in May 2015, it’s time to move on with next mobile phone in the Oppo R Series. Dubbed as Oppo R9, it will be the next generation of Oppo phone. The company will be jumping out from 7 to 9 instead of going with Oppo R8.
HTC has already has a number of devices in the One Series with 9 number in it. A mysterious device, maybe Oppo R9 or Oppo N9 or maybe even Oppo Find 9 was leaked on Weibo by Buns Playing Machine showing the back shell.
Oppo R9 Design
From the design point of view, The Oppo R9 uses genuine all metal body and it looks like that every OEM wants to get better with a new phone but finally lands on achieving a device which is identical to latest iteration of iPhone. Infact the Oppo R9 rear camera assembly is exactly similar to what we have seen on iPhone 6S and the body is more curved with rounded edges.

Oppo R9 will adopted the latest & upgraded technology in Fingerprint scanner with first-ever Ultrasonic scanner which is not only powerful but provides extra security to traditional finger-print technology. Ultrasonic Fingerprint technology will be seen in seen in all the 2016 flagship phones.
In terms of specifications will be powered with high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor or Mediatek Helio X20 deca-core SoC with atleast 3 Gigs of RAM. Unlike iPhone counterpart, it will be powered with Android 5.1 Lollipop or 6.0 Marshmallow out of box and launch at Mobile World Congress [MWC 2016] or CES 2016 is highly likely.
From the image, the device looks to be with 5.5 inch display but nothing is official yet. We will let you know once the device passes through any regulatory authority for certification.
