Panasonic Lumix CM1, the smart camera phone was launched in reply to Samsung Galaxy K Zoom last year and now it’s available in United States after it went for sale early this year in Europe. Although the handset is year old now, Panasonic supplied this handset with Android 4.4 Kitkat out of box. The company has planned to release Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the device.

Moving from Android 4.4 Kitkat, the Lollipop will bring a lot of improvements, features and bug fixes. The Lollipop update is called as the materialistic design coming out with fluid motion, tangible interaction, security enhancements, more from notification panel and Quick Settings. A dozen of improvements are included in the Android Lollipop update and this happens to be the biggest update in the Android history.
Although there is Android M aka the Android 6.0 Lollipop is the latest version of Android, so confusion whether Panasonic will consider Android 5.0 Lollipop or Android M?
Update When?
Although Panasonic mentioned that they will come out with Android Lollipop update, but didn’t mention the exact dates or any time frame when it will be available. We are anticipating the OTA update right on your device anytime in Q3, 2015. So Q3 is July, August and September 2015.
