The Samsung Galaxy S3, S2, Note, Note II are the premier phones which among the Samsung lineup are the Tier-1 device to receive the Android updates. After porting all the above mentioned devices to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version, it’s time to bring the updates for the LTE or carrier specific version.
Rogers Canada claimed that they will be updating Galaxy S2 LTE phone with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version going through January 2013 but they have delayed the update by February second week. But today the update has finally seeded to Galaxy S2 LTE version. There are reports from various sources that the update has started rolling out in few destinations and the carrier didn’t come up with any statement for this update availability.
This update is available via Samsung KIES although most of the users would have checked it via Over the Air update. Knowing the update availability via Samsung KIES requires connecting your smartphone to the PC and checking it up via Samsung KIES. Most of the users don’t have Samsung KIES, moreover they prefer to go with OTA update. We are not sure whether this update will be available via Over the Air or not but by connecting it with Samsung KIES you phone definitely will be update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version.
So if you own Rogers Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE phone then you should straightaway go ahead and update your device to get the love of Android Jelly Bean bringing you the Project Butter and Google Now.
