Samsung Galaxy Core phone is outdated and an updated version of it in the form of Galaxy Core 2 is now officially released along with three new smartphones. Other smartphone launched on June 30, includes the Samsung Galaxy Young 2, Galaxy Ace 4 and Galaxy Star 2. Here we go through Samsung Galaxy Core 2 review in terms of actual specifications and hardware.
Good thing about these phones – they run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of box even though they are powered with 512 MB RAM. Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Duos

Display & Processor

From its previous model, Galaxy Core 2 is a little upgraded with 4.5 inch display but results obtained i.e., resolution and pixel density remains same for both the handsets mentioned here. So 800×480 pixels is something bearable.Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Duos

We were happy to see Galaxy Core with quad-core processor and nothing has changed moving to its successor. I don’t know why Samsung downgraded from 1 GB to 768 MB for Galaxy Core 2 and Adreno 203 takes care of graphical processing.

Software, Camera, Dual SIM

The only thing which we were impressed with Samsung Galaxy Core is the inclusion of latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat version out of box. Yes, the devices supports OTA update and soon 4.4.4 Kitkat will be available. Furthermore, TouchWiz Essence is the new UI modification done by Samsung on recent Samsung Kitkat phones.

Coming to camera section, the 5 mega pixel rear shooting camera and VGA front shooter completes the device with beautiful 720 pixels HD filming and better selfies.

Yes, it’s a dual SIM smartphone with capabilities of dual Standby.

Battery Life, Storage, Features

Powered with 2,000 mAh Li-ion removable battery it’s too good to provide 10 hours of talktime on the air and normally a day usage.

Coming to internal storage, we just found 4 GB available, out of which only 2.5 GB is user available, remaining is consumed by system resources. Good thing, Galaxy Core 2 has a micro SD Card slot supporting 64 GB additional storage, plus you get 50 GB Dropbox storage for free for 2 years.
