With the launch of HTC One, the Taiwan based smartphone giant introduced Blinkfeed feature which allows you to keep a track on updates from your social networks connection directly on your homescreen without the need of going through the particular Facebook or Twitter app. HTC introduce more such features with launch of HTC One. Moving from HTC Sense 5 to 5.5 update, you will see a lot many updates included in the BlinkFeed. These include swipe right to access menu & settings, options items. So with Blinkfeed on Sense 5.5 it looks like a traditional Google+ page.
For many people who doesn’t want to get disturbed in the middle of their work, they will be happier to connect with Social networking sites when they find time. In such cases, BlinkFeed on your phone home screen is not useful, moreover it consumes battery continuously. For those users we recommend them to turn off the BlinkFeed feature.

Follow these simple instructions of 2 steps –
- From the home screen, pinch your fingers together. You will be on home screen overview.
- Tap the BLINKFEED ON in the top left to turn it OFF. Alternatively if you want to turn it on back, then tap over BLINKFEED OFF.

So with that settings into effect, you will no longer see updates to social networks for your profile on your phone’s home screen.
