The Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is now rolling out to Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL smartphones. The update is also available for Nexus 6P and qualifying Android One phones. Sadly you will have to depend on Factory images and OTA update files to flash it.
The Over the air update will be starting out very soon and if you wanna try out the latest update from Google, then go ahead and grab those OTA files. For those who are facing the problem with the device, we recommend them to update to Android 7.1.1 as soon as possible. It also happens to be December’s security patch for a number of devices.
The Android 7.1.1 update brings tap to wake and lift to wake features included.
So far we see the update available to following devices –
- Google Pixel and Pixel XL [NMF260]
- Pixel C [NMF26H]
- Nexus 6P [NMF26F]
- Nexus 5X[NMF26F]
- Nexus Player [NMF26J]
- Nexus 9 [NMF26F]
