Google has release Android distribution numbers for the month of January 2014 today with Jelly Bean version reaching 60% mark. While there isn’t much change from the stats that we have seen last month, there is still 1.8% growth in Jelly Bean share from its previous month records.
The Jelly Bean comprises of following actual distribution with –
- Android 4.1.x – 35.5 %
- Android 4.2.x – 16.3 %
- Android 4.3 – 8.9 %
There is a little rise from 1.4% to 1.8 % for Android 4.4 Kitkat, that maybe due to Moto G Google Play Edition done last month and also Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet which are supplied with Android Kitkat out of box. Both Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich numbers went down from 21.2 to 20 percent and Android 4.0.x from 16.9% to 16.1 percent.
Next Month Prediction: Maybe for the next month it might be Kitkat grew to atleast 5% as we are expecting. Also there might not be much change in Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean distribution numbers.
Surprisingly Gingerbread market share is because still there are a considerable number of phones are launched with Android Gingerbread version.
