We have news from the house of Google that Android Wear 2.0 is coming up early next year and they will launch two flagship smartwatches. Android Wear 2.0 will be aimed at staying connected with your watch. It will bring upgrade in terms of fitness, watch faces, messaging and standalone apps and standalone Play Store. Wow! That’s really interesting because after 2.0 update you will be able to get into Play Store and download apps directly without the need of installing them on your phone.

Sadly Motorola Moto 360 and LG G Watch are not included in the update roll-out schedule.

Although Google made it clear that which watches will get the update but they didn’t mention which smartwatches will get the software roll out first.

Not even the timeline or ETA for each model was mentioned. So overall the Q1, 2016 is the time period where all of the above mentioned watches will get the update.
