Details of iPhone 7 being thinner, 6 millimeter in thickness is what Apple targeting, first appeared on AppleInsider, shared by Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. If Apple's iPhone 2016 achieve thickness between 6.0 and 6.5 millimeters it will be thinner than iPad Air 2 and latest iPod Touch [6.1 mm in thickness]. Currently iPhone 6 is 6.9 mm thin. The current iPhone 6S with the new 7000 series aluminum are expected to be over 7 millimeter in thickness.
The pressure sensitive touch inputs on the display, so called as Force Touch will also be part of iPhone 7 as well. Apple historically in every two years has redesigned iPhone with great improvements, but due following year the "S" upgrade is largely identical in appearance to its predecessor. That statement holds true in iPhone 6S case as well as it's expected to feature same design, features as that of iPhone 6, additionally adding Force Touch, Apple's new A9 processor, 2 Gigs of RAM and higher resolution camera as the most significant upgrade internally.
