Those iPhone 6 Plus models which are sold between September 2014 to January 2015 and are having problem with camera can get their camera unit replaced. Apple today announced ‘iPhone 6 Plus Camera replacement program‘ through a press release dated August 21, 2015. Small percentage of iPhone 6 Plus device’s iSight camera came up with a component which causes takes blur photos and affected units camera will be replaced for free by Apple.
If your iPhone 6 Plus is purchased in between those date range and it falls in eligible serial number then Apple staff will do it for you without any charges.
To check your eligibility, you need to go iPhone 6 Plus page and submit your serial number in the space provided. Once it’s confirmed you can visit Apple Authorized Service provider or Apple Retail store or contact Apple Technical support for replacement.
As a data safety measure, you are advised to backup data to iTunes and iCloud.
