It’s almost ten months since Apple Watch went official last year in April and as the Apple 2016 plans goes, Apple Watch 2 will be releasing in April 2016. That has been the plan and given that how quick the Apple developers are working on bringing the beta releases to WatchOS 2, we are definitely on track for scheduled launch. Today we want to let you know that source Digitimes has confirmed that Apple Watch 2 will enter mass-production in second quarter of 2016.
The trial production of Apple Watch 2 or Apple Watch 2nd Gen became earlier this month. Further, the source pointed out that Quanta will be the sole manufacturer of redesigned Apple Watch 2016 as chain supply points out.
Apple originally considered shifting some second-generation Apple Watch orders to Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), but decided to keep all the orders with Quanta as volumes will not be high, the sources noted. Because of Apple Watch’s weaker than expected shipments, Apple recently reduced the device’s shipment forecast for 2016 down further from its estimate in the fourth quarter of 2015.
