There is no stopping for Samsung as after releasing Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone they are back with updating their existing line of smartphone with the latest version. Today AT&T Galaxy S4 was lucky one to receive the Android Lollipop update. The Lollipop rollout to unlocked Galaxy S4 started couple of weeks ago but that was in different region. The Galaxy S4 carrier rollout started this week and AT&T’s owners will receive this update starting from today.
You should have received the update notification on your device or maybe in couple of days. If you are impatient they you can manually force check for the software availability by going through Settings > More > About Device and then tap on Software update. You should make sure that you are connected to a WiFi or 4G LTE or 3G network to download the software package and ensure that battery life on the device is more than 50%.
The update weights hefty 947 MB and once after the update you see 5.0.1 as the Android version and build number as LRX22C. Apart from material design inclusion, update also brings improvements to TouchWiz proprietary Samsung UI.
