It’s not just Nokia who is joining the Android smartphone offerings, but we also have BlackBerry ready to launch their second Android powered handset this year. Nokia or BlackBerry – who will achieve decent success with Android?
Nokia is rumored to have Nokia C1 as their first Android handset, while on other side BlackBerry is looking to release nothing less than three phones apart from last year addition of BlackBerry Priv their first Android handset ever.
The first photo of BlackBerry Neon is leaked before it’s official launch. Unlike Priv, the Neon will be completely a mid-range handset and it’s formerly referred as DTEK50. According to PocketNow, it’s a rebranded Alcatel Idol 4 smartphone, which was launched earlier this year and already available in United States as a prepaid smartphone via Cricket Wireless.
These official photos were leaked hours before official launch.
BlackBerry Neon Specifications
The BlackBerrry Neon is expected to carry following specifications –
- 5.2 inch scratch resistant full HD display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chip
- 3 GB RAM
- 16 Gigs of internal memory with a micro SD card slot
- 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash

BlackBerry Neon Availability
BlackBerry will sale Neon handset next month in United States and Canada. It will be priced at $350 roughly, as estimated by GSMArena but with that specs, we suggest it shouldn’t be priced nothing more than $300. So, that’s $50 high.
