Honor Note 8 goes official in China – The huge 6.6 Inch smartphone by Huawei.
Gigantic smartphones are making their way back in the market. After Xiaomi Mi Max success, which saw a total shipment of 1.5 million within first two months, all OEMs are back of making smartphone with 6 inch display. Asus at Zen Festival in June announced addition of 6.8 inch to ZenFone 3 and named it as ZenFone 3 Ultra. Now Huawei want’s to have a go, as Huawei Honor Note 8 goes official in China. Also another Huawei phone got TENAA approval with model number EDI-AL10 and at the same time Huawei officially teased Note 8 on Weibo on July 22.

Honor Note 8 gets its name similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 8 but it will be a new smartphone in the Honor Note series. The Honor Note 8 reportedly comes with 6.6 inch 2560 x 1440 pixels Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display. That means that it will be a bit smaller than ZenFone 3 and equally larger than Mi Max.
With that size, we have the 4500 mAh battery on the device, the question will be how powerful will it be because Blu Energy XL with 6″ display had 5000 mAh battery.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of box with Huawei’s proprietary EMUI 4.1 skin on top of it.

Huawei Honor Note 8 is available in Gold, Gray and Silver color costing 2299 Yuan for 32 GB model, 2499 Yuan for 64 GB model and 2799 Yuan for the 128 GB model. They are available for pre-order from VMall and JD.com with sale from August 9, 2016. Launch outside China isn’t known yet but sooner or later it will be available in other Asian countries.
