HTC India had an eventful day as HTC Desire 816 was launched in India at Rs 23,990 also HTC One M8 shown up at Rs 49,990. But apart from that International handset debut, it turned out to be HTC Desire 210 to be more interesting handset than those two mentioned earlier. HTC Desire 210 is certainly an attempt to regain market in growing countries like India, China.
HTC Desire 210 packs 4 inches display (measured diagonally) and provides normal 800 x 480 pixels resolution. This dual SIM handsets weighs a moderate of 130 grams and packs 1300 mAh Li-ion battery.
Furthermore, it happens to be powered with dual core Mediatek MT657M chipset, also happens to be HTC’s cheapest dual core phone packs 512 MB RAM. Storage wise there is micro SD card slot supporting up to 32 GB of storage and there is a 4 GB internal memory as well. The device gets Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version on top of Sense User interface and includes BlinkFeed app pre-installed although you can download it from Play Store.
There is 5 mega pixel camera sensor on the back side and VGA front facing camera is also included. HTC Corporation has to bank on its brand value and rest depends on the people as how long Desire 210 at Rs 8700 survive against likes of Nokia X, domestic manufactured phones with quad core processor at that price.
