Back after HTC One M8 announcement, The Taiwan based smartphone giant has leaked Desire 616, happens to be the first HTC Octa core phone. This will be the HTC Desire phone powered with Mediatek MT6592 Octa core chipset. Several Mediatek Octa core powered smartphones have come up in the market and HTC is much eager to launch Mediatek powered Octa core phone.
The image of HTC Desire 616 is leaked by weibo user on the forum and it was also certified in Tenna of China. With Tenna certification it confirms that a China variant will too be arriving soon. While it passes through these rumors, we come to know that the device will be sporting the 5-inch display as found on HTC Desire 816 phone and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS on top of HTC Sense 5 UI.
Other specifications known to us regarding Desire 616 are 8 mega pixel primary camera with LED flash capable of 1080p full HD video recording and 2 mega pixel front facing camera. The device supports 3G and there is 1 GB RAM with micro SD card slot as well. Details of battery and storage capacity are not known to us.
