HTC One US Carrier phones will be directly update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware. Check this update on your Verizon, AT&T, Sprint phones.
HTC One owners in United States were strucked with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean firmware but they will be happy to learn that HTC One on US Carriers has directly been update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean skipping the between Android version.
According to official tweets form HTC’s president, Jason Mackenzie, HTC team will skip Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean testing and delivery to customers in United States calling it has minor update. The same Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update was released to International version of HTC One a month ago but US carriers didn’t receive it.
Earlier this month, both Google Edition of Galaxy S4 and HTC One received Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update officially and this big update is due to the collaborative partnership between HTC and Google for Google Edition of their flagship device.
On the other side, HTC One Developer Edition will remain on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version and it’s just the same as International version of the phone, so users can update it to Android 4.2.2. Developer edition is an unlock device and as a developer people will try out different firmware version, so it doesn’t actually matter to them whether Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is official or not.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware version was released by Google on July 24 at Google I/O event. From the Day 1, Nexus devices were upgradeable to Android 4.3.
