BCN, a research firm reports that iPhone 6S and 6S Plus recorded 10-15% decline in sales as compared to statistics available for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as quoted to Digitimes.NTT DoCoMo has further reported that the latest vibe of iPhone’s registered strong sales first up but the popularity of people lined up outside stores were weaker than its predecessors.
Both iPhone 6S and 6S Plus registered strong sales topping atleast 13 million units worldwide in the first three days itself [opening weekend sales] after the initial release on September 25, 2015. Japan is among the list of countries which got iPhone 6S and 6S Plus initially released along with Australia, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, UK and Germany. Furthermore, statistical data shows that iPhone accounted for 60% smartphone sales in 2014 in Japan, so definitely iPhone is popular in this part of the world but considering that, everyone might have the latest iPhone model and keeping in mind that the newest iPhone include not major improvements moving from its predecessor, people might not have opted for it.
