Lava Pixel V1 has officially launched as the second generation of Android One phone by Google in India. With that Lava Mobiles becomes the fourth OEM with which Google has tied to come up with Android One phone in sub-continent after Karbonn, Micromax and Spice. While Android One first generation phones were all entry level phones, Lava Pixel V1 raises the bar to mid-range reach. All the second generation of Android One phone are supplied with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of box and since Android M Developer preview is just announced.

Definitely the hardware is capable to run Android M 5.2 update and we are just waiting for the official announcement of latest Android version from Google. Once it’s available, after Nexus devices, Android One phones will get the update.
