We here lot more about LG Optimus G Pro but where does the Optimus G go? It’s not yet available in most of the countries but certainly if you are in United States, you can buy it via Sprint. While the LG’s flagship phone is yet to receive Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update, several users have reported their Optimus G smartphone is coming out with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update directly from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It was not just one users or two, infact many users reported availability of this update at XDA-Forums thread. Some even attached the screenshots as well. Here is the screenshot after updating the device – LG Optimus G Android 4.1.2

We know that LG is quite slow in delivering the latest Android updates to their top smartphones but this update has surprised everyone as it wasn’t expected this quarter.

Anyways, Optimus G owners will welcome this system update although there is no official announcement from the house of LG Electronics. Looks like company is busy in launching devices at Mobile World Congress. The update file size is big containing 474 Mb and you will be updated to LS970ZVB firmware pack. Apart from Google Now on your phone, you will also see the expandable notifications and other Jelly Bean tweaks. Also the QSlide function in the phone is enhanced and new features added are Privacy Keeper, Quiet Time.

So if you are not on Android 4.0.4 and Android 4.0.3 version you can directly update your device to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
