Moving on from Android Nougat, which is not a surprise anyone, we will have the upcoming Android version. Here we list out expected phones to get Android 7.1.2 Nougat update.

Android 7.1.2

Android 7.1.2 Nougat Update

The Android 7.1 Nougat is expected to arrive on the smartphone as an Over the air update and availability on Nexus and Android One phone is in fall 2016. So as expected, three devices run on Android 7.1 now – Google Pixel phones and all new General Mobile GM 5 smartphone. These three handsets also qualify to receive the Android 7.1.1 and 7.1.2 update although one or the other device might skip one of those updates.

Yes, that’s right as the Android 7.0 update is already available for qualifying Nexus devices. At the end of the year, we might have the 7.1.1 release.

The update is expected to be a minor one if you are running Android 7.0 Nougat. Some devices might directly jump to Android 7.1.2 OTA from Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It’s quite surprising that last year we didn’t have any Android version beyond 6.0.1. Comparatively, Nougat will have three minor updates.
