Meizu is lagging behind in terms of smartphones launches that we have seen in the recent past. Starting from Xiaomi to Huawei, ZTE to LeECO, a number of smartphones by them have come up in the recent two to three months. Unlike other Chinese OEMs, Meizu just like Oppo releases limited smartphones a year. After leaking out Meizu M5, an entry level smartphone, the company has plans to introduce several new smartphones.

As of now there is no plans to introduce the flagship Pro 7 this year as it has pushed to 2017 debut. The number 7 this year had a big impact in flagship smartphone naming. This year we had Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, similarly earlier this year Samsung introduced Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. ZTE also had Axon 7 smartphone and according to rumors, Meizu Pro 7 was set for launch this year but it has been now pushed for 2017.

In an internal report received to us from Chinese sources, Meizu will launch several smartphones starting next month. Entry level Meizu M5 was leaked yesterday with several screenshot showing the Antutu Benchmark score of the device. It will be launched by the end of the month.

Up in November we might have Meizu M5 Note (also known as Blue Charm Note 5) as Meizu M3 Note is already passed six months since official debut in April this year. Moving forward during Christmas time we might have Meizu M5s and Meizu M5 Metal.

Now that’s not all in the M5 series as we might have Meizu M5 Max set for debut in Q1, 2017, possibly at Mobile World Congress 2017, the biggest mobile event held every year in the month of February-March at Barcelona.

So that’s what Meizu has plans to do in 2017 and late this year. Have you ever used a Meizu phone?
