Micromax A116 Canvas HD hit the bulls eyes in Indian market as it debut with 720p HD video camera + quad core processor, all those at just Rs 14,000 unveiled in February. There was price increase to Rs 15,000 although it cam up with new packing and matt finish. According to the reports, Micromax is now working on coming out with a 3D smartphone and interesting it would be named as A115 Canvas HD. We earlier reported that Micromax A115 is coming soon but this back fence talks tell that it will be a 3D phone.
The source also says that the device is in the final stage of development and it’s equipped with stereoscopic 3D display and it also has posted the picture of the device in work. It’s with same 5 inches display but with ordinary resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and powered with dual core MediaTek MT6577 processor. This two specs parameter are good enough for us to judge that the device will be priced in the range of budget, hoping it doesn’t exceed Canvas HD price. Interestingly Galaxy Note II competitor aka Micromax A120 is still a back fence talk.
Unlike all other HD phones like LG Optimus 3D, the Optimus 3D Max and the HTC Evo 3D in the market they use dual camera but this one comes with single camera which clearly means that it renders images in 3D form but camera can’t record 3D images. Its just the basic Canvas HD camera equipped in to Canvas 3D phone.
Intresting all the 3D phones were priced above Rs 30,000 during the launch and these didn’t worked well in the market although there were several price cuts from time to time. Hoping that Micromax A116 Canvas 3D will be priced in the range of affordability.
