Micromax Canvas Gold A300 Review

Display & Camera
The Canvas Gold A300 is powered with 5.5 inch IPS display screen providing 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution allowing you to play full HD videos. Although QHD resolution display are out in the market, there is absolutely no need of more than fHD as it does a tremendous job.

Powered with best in business 16 mega pixel camera, certainly the full HD video recording is ON and LED flash light improves the photography during low light conditions. The 5 mega pixel front shooter can really get you HD video calls.

Processor and Software

All the Indian smartphone vendors, thinks of nothing more than Android when it comes to operating system and Mediatek chipset when it comes to processing unit makeup. Canvas Gold will be powered with Octa core Mediatek MT6592T processor clocked at higher 2 Ghz coupled with 2 GB RAM to provide seamless processing speed and response time. I am sure it will certainly standout in terms of benchmark tests.
The device runs on the latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat version out of box and it’s among the handset to support OTA update. Soon there will be Android 4.4.3 Kitkat out roll out to this handset fixing certain bugs and performance issues.

Dual SIM
Canvas Gold just like other Micromax phones supports dual SIM connectivity with dual Standby. The SIM 1 supports 3G HSDPA providing faster download and upload speed, while SIM 2 is limited to 2G only.

Canvas Gold is limited with 32 GB internal storage, out of which 25 GB is user available and 1.5 GB is limited for apps. Sadly there isn’t any micro SD card slot to expand the storage further but 32 GB is way enough for a normal user.

Battery Life
Canvas Gold with 5.5 inch huge display, quad core processor and 16 mega pixel camera extracts juices from 2300 mAh battery which isn’t the best for business. Canvas Gold battery is non-removable one. So on average usage you can expect talk time of about 5 hours or a standby time of around 250 hours.
