The following Moto phones will see the light of the day for the Android Oreo OTA update –

• Motorola Moto Z Droid
• Moto Z Force Droid
• Moto Z Play
• Moto Z Play Droid
• Moto Z2 Play (unlocked, Verizon)
• Moto Z2 Force (Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T)
• Moto X4
• Motorola Moto G5
• Moto G5 Plus
• Motorola Moto G5S
• Moto G5S Plus
• Moto X5
• Moto X5 Plus

Motorola Oreo update Release date

Talking about the release date, the roll-out of the software will happen at the end of the year starting with the flagship Moto Z phone.

Sadly, the following phones will not get the update and they will stay on the current firmware –

• Moto G (3rd Gen)
• Moto G4 family
• Moto G
• Moto E
• Moto X XT1058

Although these devices will not get the update, don’t be sad, as always there is a chance that you can get the update done via through the Android Oreo custom ROMs. Among the popular ones is the Lineage OS 15, which is formerly known as the Cyanogen OS.

Moto X4 Oreo Update

Moto X4 Oreo update will be rolled out in March 2018.

Moto G5 Plus Oreo update

The update to this device will be available in the month of April/May 2018.

Moto Z2 Force Oreo update

Both unlocked Moto Z2 Force and carrier variants like Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon of it will get the upgrade to Android Oreo soon.
