Republic Wireless, a Sprint’s Mobile Virtual network operator made a splashing news last year when they announced Moto X at an attractive price. They are up for yet another repeat with its successor model as New Moto X smartphone will be sold via Republic Wireless at a price tag of $399. There is definitely a saving of $100 from its regular off contract price and I think I should certainly go with this deal.
But you need to wait for few days as Republic Wireless will be selling Moto X 2014 from December 10 and it should be nice gift for Christmas this year. Actually it’s not a unlocked handset as Republic Wireless has done some modifications and baseband version has been changed to support WiFi/Cellular connectivity on its network. So with those modifications you neither can bring your own device to Republic Wireless nor take Republic Moto X to another carrier, including Sprint.
The Republic Wireless Moto X 2014 will be shipped with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out of box and later it will be updated to Android 5.0.
