Nokia 5 gets 3 GB RAM variant in India; Price at $210

HMD Global unveiled Nokia 5 smartphone on August 15 in India but that was with 2 GB RAM and it disappointed many fans because at that price they were able to get smartphones with 3 or 4 GB RAM inside.

Based on the user’s feedback, HMD Global has unveiled Nokia 5 3 GB RAM model in the sub-continent and it’s priced at Rs 13,499(US $210). So, that’s around Rs 550 higher than 2 GB RAM model which is currently sold at Rs 12,949.

Now we never heard of this variant earlier and we are as surprised as you are. Actually, this news is true because the phone is listed on Flipkart website and it will go on for sale tonight.

Comparing the two, other specifications of it remains same as Nokia 5 Specs. Reminding you of Nokia 5 specifications, it features 5.2-inch 1280 x 720 pixels HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 mobile platform coupled with 3 GB of RAM, Adreno 505 GPU and 16 GB onboard storage. If you think that the device storage is less than you can get a micro SD card (supporting storage up to 128 GB in size) and expand the storage to fit in your music and video library.

Coming to the Nokia 5 camera, we have a 13 mega pixel snapper with f/2.2 aperture & 1.12 µm pixel size on the rear side with phase detection and autofocus. There is 8 mega pixel camera on the front for selfies with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12 µm pixel size. It’s powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable Lithium-ion battery and available in Tempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black, Copper colors.

It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and HMD Global has announced that it will get the Oreo update within a couple of weeks.
