In 2018, it was reported that HMD Global could introduce a series of Nokia phones and they actually did it but named the Nokia Android phones as Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 7, Nokia 8 and but the release of Nokia Edge Series is long time rumored with different models like Nokia Edge 2019, Edge Pro, Nokia Edge Extreme, and Nokia Edge Max.
The Finnish smartphone giant could be looking to launch the Nokia Edge smartphone in 2019 as with the Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 8.1, the naming is getting a bit more confused.
Nokia Edge 2019 is expected to release at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) to be held in the month of February 2019.
Talking about its specs, the device is expected to run on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and it runs on stock Android version just like other Nokia Android One phones.
There is expected to be three variants based on internal storage and RAM. As said, they are:
- 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage
- 8 GB RAM with both 64 GB and 128 GB inbuilt storage
- 10 RAM with 256 GB RAM (top notch)
As said the Nokia Edge 10 GB RAM phone will be with 256 GB inbuilt storage capacity.
