HMD Global had pre-plans to make 2017 a new year for “Nokia” brand. Not only they are on target but they have made Nokia popular again in a very short span of time. Earlier this year in the first week of January and ahead of Consumer Electronics Show [CES], they unveiled Nokia 6, their first Android phone in China. It turned out to be a huge hit as it saw surprising turn-around on day 1 of the sale. At prestigious Mobile World Congress [MWC 2017] at Barcelona, the Nokia booth was colorful, thanks to all new Nokia 3310 featured phone which gets a major revamp. At the event press conference, Nokia 6 was announced for global market apart from the debut of Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 smartphones. Now, the report claims that Nokia will launch two new flagship phones in June 2017. The story gets delicious because one of this upcoming Nokia smartphones uses a dual-camera setup.
HMD Global for the flagship Nokia phone has plans to launch two variants, a usual strategy followed by Apple, Samsung, and Google. The device could be named as “Nokia 8” and Nokia 8 XL or Nokia 8 Plus. Both these variants will be much similar but have some difference in internal specifications. Although both of them will be powered by Octa core processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, it will be distinguished by the choice of 4 GB or 6 GB RAM and thereby internal storage.
One of the Nokia’s 2017 flagship phone will be with an ideal display of size between 5-inch to 5.3-inch while the later will be a premium device much like iPhone 8 and HTC U Ultra with all the premium features like dual camera setup, metal unibody.
HMD Global says that it has developed an imaging solution for the camera on their smartphones. It will work well in all conditions. So, don’t be surprised if Nokia comes out with a 23 megapixel sensor with a dual camera setup.
Rumors also suggest that they will be priced at $580 and $650 respectively and will be launched in the month of June 2017.
