Samsung at the start of the year itself showed that they will be aggressive in terms of devices launches in 2018 as they announced Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8 Plus smartphones. Both handsets are great but they still run on older Android Nougat operating system version. Don’t be panic because the new Samsung Galaxy Phones 2018 will be upgraded to the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.
Galaxy A8 Plus Oreo update
Talking about the Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus Oreo update, the roll-out could happen soon. It could happen sooner than expected and will be ahead of many other Samsung devices which are scheduled to get upgraded to the latest Android version.
The Galaxy A8+ Oreo update will be roll-out through over the air update and it will in a phase-wise manner with unlocked devices getting the upgrade first and then roll-out happening to the carrier variants. It will be the first major upgrade/update to the device.
Currently, the latest Samsung Galaxy phone is on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat and it could actually skip the Android 8.0 and directly get upgraded to Android 8.1 version. The Oreo version of Android includes host of new features and all those will be available on your device once the update is done.
Just like its elder brother, Galaxy A8 2018 A730F could also join the Oreo update party but there is no official confirmation about it. We will let you know once the update happens. The dual SIM version, so-called Samsung GalaxyA8+ (2018) Duos SM-A730F/DS too will also get the update.
The Samsung Galaxy A8+ is the latest smartphone by the South Korean smartphone giant with the Infinite Display technology with a 6-inch 18.5:9 display aspect ratio on top of Super AMOLED display. Both the smartphones have dual camera setup with 16 mega pixel (f/1.9 aperture) + 8 mega pixel (f/1.9 aperture) image sensor.
Compared to Android Nougat, the Oreo update roll-out seems to a bit faster. Upcoming Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are expected to run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and they will get upgraded to Android P (un-announced) in 2019.
