Samsung Galaxy Grand is one of the wonderful phablet phone introduced by Samsung very recently. It was introduced seeing the huge competition by smartphone vendors locally in all countries. Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082 was designed to bring down the price although bringing the Galaxy Note features while priced on lower side.
The Galaxy Grand I9082 is now seeding with the first official firmware update available via over the air update. Although this firmware update do not offer you with Android 4.2 aka Jelly Bean version, this instead brings stability improvements on to your device.
The update file size is of 27.86 Mb and includes fixing of issues relating to Blocking Mode on your device. Moreover this will update the build number on your phone to XXAMAC from existing XXAMMA.
You can head on to Settings > About Phone > Software Update and then tap on Check Now to connect your phone to Samsung Servers. Once you get positive reply from the server end, you will be prompted to download the updates. Once download you will be again prompted to install the updates, your phone would automatically restarted once you have pressed Install button. It will take a while to boot your device on the new firmware, since it will apply those Settings. But before updating you should ensure that you have taken backup of your device and also make sure to charge your phone to substantial battery level. We are not sure whether this update is been launched region wise or its a global launch.
Once done, you can verify it by going through Menu > Settings > About Phone. Sadly Android version will remain same as Android 4.1.2 which came out of box but you will see the build number changed to XXAMAC.
