Update on June 30, 2014
A number of devices are launched every Monday and today we happen to see four new Samsung Galaxy phones been officially launched and also the rumors of Galaxy Mega 2 went viral. Successor of Galaxy Mega line is already in works and this device is confirmed as the pre-production unit has been passed through mandatory benchmark test. The device bears model number SM-G7508.
As rumored earlier, it will not be with 6 inch display, infact will be boosted with 5.9 inch display, not a big difference. Technically going through benchmark results, device will be running Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out of box (although 4.4.3 is seen during testing) as Samsung will reconsider update to latest version out of box.
The huge 5.9 inch display will provide 1280 x 720 pixels resolution with five ginger gesture support and powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor clocked at 1.2 Ghz. Adreno 306 and 2 GB RAM will assist the processing compartment and storage space is not just limited to internal storage of 8 GB as it gets a micro Sd card slot.
In terms of camera, we might see inclusion of 12 mega pixel sensor capable of recording FHD 1920 x 1080 pixels videos and 4.7 mega pixel front facing shooter for selfies of 2576×1932 pixels resolution. Stay tuned for further rumors until the device is officially launched.
