Sony Android Pie Phones List: 9 Xperia Phones Confirmed to get Android 9 Pie update.
After Android Pie was announced last week, several OEM’s are confirming the phones list that are eligible to get the upgrade. Motorola, Nokia has already made an official statement and now Sony Mobiles join the list.
Sony Mobiles has confirmed that a total of nine of their existing smartphones will be upgraded to the latest Android version.
Sony Android Pie Phones List
The following 9 Sony Xperia lineup will be upgraded to Android Pie version:
- Sony Xperia XZ2
- Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium
- Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact
- Sony Xperia XZ Premium
- Sony Xperia XZ1
- Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact
- Sony Xperia XA2
- Sony Xperia XA2 Plus
- Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra
The Japanese smartphone giant has confirmed that in the first wave XZ2, XZ2 Premium, XZ2 Compact, XZ Premium, XZ1 and XZ1 Compact will be upgraded by the end of the year.
In the next wave, XA2, XA2 Plus, and XA2 Ultra will receive the Android Pie treatment. The update will roll-out through Over the Air update and it will be a region-wise update.
Talking about the Sony Android Pie phones, the first one might be the Sony Xperia XZ3 Premium and it will be launched early next year at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019).
