Sony MWC 2017 plan to launch Sony BlancBright, Sony Keyaki (zelkova), Sony Hinoki (cypress), Sony Mineo & Yoshino smartphones.

While Xiaomi might have opted out of Mobile World Congress [MWC 2017], Sony has strong plans for the biggest mobile event of the year. Sony has plans to launch not one but five new smartphones.

Devices named as Sony BlancBright, Sony Keyaki (zelkova), Sony Hinoki (cypress), Sony Mineo & Sony Yoshino are just spotted. The name mentioned above are the codename of the devices and they will be launched through proper naming in the Xperia lineup.

Both Sony BlancBright and Yoshino are high-end smartphones. The former one will carry 5.5 inch 4K display and will be powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset on board. It will have either 4 GB or 6 GB RAM and all new proprietary Sony IMX400 image sensor.

BlancBright will have the 5.5 inch display but with Quad HD resolution. It will be powered with Snapdragon 652 or Snapdragon 853 processor, 4 GB RAM and Sony IMX400 image processor.

The Sony Keyaki and Mineo will be mid-range smartphones with the former sporting 5.2 inch full HD display, Mediatek Helio P20, 4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage, 23 MP + 16 mega pixel camera.

The Sony Hinoki will have the 5 inch HD display, Mediatek Helio P20 chip, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and 16 MP + 8 mega pixel cameras.

The Sony Mineo will be priced at $350. All these smartphones will be available for hands-on at MWC 2017.
