While we see a few devices like XPeria J, AT&T’s XPeria TL been update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean firmware version, the next device to receive this important update is Sony XPeria S smartphone. It’s among the first contenders to receive the update for Sony 2012 XPeria Phones.
Sony XPeria Denmark Twitter tweet official confirmed this that the update will be arriving at end of March, 2013. As of update in European countries like Germany, Denmark is been said but surely it will be launching in other countries as well. So once update you will see the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version on your phone.
We are not sure whether there would be an Over the Air download or will it be available via the Sony PC Companion tool. The general trend says that the update is first available via PC Companion tool and then later via Over the Air download but most of the users prefers to go with Over the Air download. Anyways for those users who want to breathe in a life to their device, can try updating their device on April 1, 2013.
Sony promised of this update on March 30 but the month went without any upgrade available to the 2012 flagship XPeria S phone. Now this leaves the owners in debacle.
