After Xperia Z1 Compact and Z2 Compact, the prime focus is now on its successor model. Without any doubt device will be named as Xperia Z3 Compact and today we happen to see more photos of Z3 Compact weighing focus on camera and design.
On August 12, the phone had a visit to FCC for certification, certainly making it’s appearance yet again. The FCC filing database reveals two different variant of the same device listed with IDs as PM-0810 and PM-0812. We think it might be the Z3 Compact Dual and normal Z3 Compact as we have recently seen with the launch of Xperia M2 and M2 Dual, T2 Ultra and T2 Ultra Dual.
Furthermore, Sony PM-0810 runs on 2, 4, 5, 7, 13 and 17 LTE bands, means those are international LTE compatible XPeria Z3 models and PM-0812 is only with 5 and 7 LTE bands enabled which might be either carrier specific version or LTE-A version for Japan. Both variants comes with GSM/WCDMA/LTE connectivity apart from normal connectivity options like WiFi, WiFi tether, ANT+, NFC and Bluetooth.
Sadly the FCC didn’t provide any of the hardware specifications but we do have some physical measurements. Certainly it will be launched at IFA expo in Berlin on September 3 where Sony is scheduled to have a press release.
