Toshiba Corporation announces Excite Go powered with Android 4.4 Kitkat out of box. Not only that, May 27 turned out to be a good day atleast for Toshiba Corporation as two other Windows 8.1 tablets made to the list. Both these Windows tablets named Excite 2 will be the first tablets to run Windows 8.1 operating system and Excite Go will be the company’s first Android KitKat tablet.

Differentiated by display size and operating system, all three tablets have one thing in common — the Intel’s Atom Z3735F quad core processor but with different RAM capacity. Both these Windows 8.1 tablets will provide 10 hours of battery life.

10-inch Toshiba Encore 2 tablet will be priced at $269. Toshiba also has Excite Go Kitkat tablet which will be sold for around $100 in the United States and will compete with HP 7 Plus tablet locally in America. The Excite Go tablet is powered with 7-inch 1024 x 600 pixels multi-touch display and the remaining specs are the same as above mentioned Encore 2 tablet.

Apart from the generally listed specs, additional models with more RAM and storage will be made official. 8-inch Encore 2 will arrive in 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage at $249 while the 64 GB variant will go on for $279. 10-inch Encore 2 tablet with 1 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory + keyboard case will be costing $299 while the 64 GB will be costing $329.
