Toshiba Japan has unveiled two new Android tablets in the Regza series lineup. Dubbed as Regza AT503 and AT703 both will be entry level tablets supporting handwritten text and graphics with pen input.
Toshiba Regza AT703
Toshiba Regza AT703 is equipped with 10.1 inches 2560 x 1600 better than full HD LCD display screen (pixel density 300 ppi) and adopts tempered glass with anti-fingerprint coating. It’s more focused on sense of handwriting supporting electromagnetic induction digitizer “Dynabook V713/28J”. In addition to handwriting prediction, it includes pre-installed “TruNote” a hand written notes app designed by Toshiba.
Regza AT703 is equipped with beautiful 8 mega pixel camera on the rear side and front facing 1.3 mega pixel camera. Its powered with 1.8 Ghz NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor coupled with 2 GB RAM and boards 32 GB internal memory. Both these tablets comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS version out of boxand includes Bluetooth 4.0 support, WiFi.
It provides battery life of about 9.5 hours with 260.7 × 178.9 × 10.5mm body size weight is about 671 grams. It will be sold at ¥ 90,000 in Japan.
Toshiba Regza AT503
Toshiba Regza AT503 is lower end model of AT703 supporting all the features mentioned above and it’s equipped with 10.1 inches Touch LCD display providing 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. Its powered with NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.3 Ghz, coupled with 1 GB RAM. There is 32 GB internal storage capacity and includes dual camera with front facing standing at 1.2 mega pixel and 3 mega pixel rear camera. Other features includes IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD card slot, Micro USB 2.0, Micro HDMI output, interface, headset.
It’s expected to provider longer 11.5 hour’s battery life approximately and weighs 600 grams with measurements standing at 260.7 × 178.9 × 10.3mm. It will be sold at ¥ 50,000 in Japan.
