Check how to update Motorola Defy & Motorola Defy+ with Android 4.4 Kitkat custom firmware version.
Not sure how many folks out here use Motorola Defy and Defy Plus phones. But if you are one among these two smartphone holder, you would be happy to Android 4.4 Kitkat on it. Motorola Defy with Android 4.4 Kitkat on it makes a pretty good jump as only the Google Nexus phone have been ported. But let me tell you that this is possible only via custom firmware and without any doubt there will be no official update to 4.4 Kitkat for Motorola’s 2010 Android lineup which includes Defy and Defy+.
One of the XDA developers, hoping that he is the Android 2.1 Eclair powered Defy phone owner has managed to port Android 4.4 Kitkat on to the phone. As of now he has stated that it’s the alpha release means there will be plenty of bugs which will be fixed in upcoming beta releases. So for this update on your phone, you should install the Clock Work Mod Recovery on your phone and nothing less than CWM v10 should be installed on your phone. Here are some of the screenshot after upgrading Motorola Defy with Android 4.4 Kitkat custom firmware.
