Verizon Wireless is today busy in updating their Samsung Galaxy Android powered smartphones. First they update Galaxy Steller with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and then next, Galaxy S3 update is the big one news. Verizon Galaxy S3 gets Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update available via over the air update.
There is no official press release about this update and here is the full change log of the update included –
- Keyboard predictive text features has been improved
- While on call you can take pictures now
- Manual refresh button has been added to lock screen
- Sync of email has now been improved
- Bluetooth performance has been improved
- VZ Navigator app added
- Amazon Android app added
Not a big list of improvements included but since this is an official release, we recommend you to update your Galaxy S3. If you are ready with this update, you should go through Settings > About Phone > Software Update and then tap on Check Now. This update is with built number as VRBMB1 with Android 4.1.2 as the operating system version. This update is with 150.3 MB in size. We might see approval of this update by Verizon officially within a week.
You will be then connected with the Verizon servers about this update and you will be prompted to download. Once downloaded you need to hit the Install button and your phone will be automatically be restarted. It will then take up to 5 minutes to finalize the settings on your Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2 release.
