Mobile consumers will be thanking Reliance JIO as it has brought a major change in Indian telecom sector. All mobile operators were looking for March 31st, 2017, the date when JIO will end their unlimited free services and starts charging its customers. Taking Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and Aircel by storm, Mukesh Ambani, Reliance JIO Infocomm chairman announced highly competitive plans post March 31st. With JIO Prime Subscription, users can enjoy unlimited voice, video calls and 1 GB of data a day with Rs 303 recharge. This led to Airtel to scrap national roaming charges. Vodafone also has launched a news plans - one is Welcome Offer, through which a recharge of Rs 249 will gives unlimited voice calls and unlimited 2G data.
Vodafone India launches two new plan in order to combat JIO Prime membership. Classified as exclusive 'Welcome Back offers', Rs 342 and Rs 346 entitles consumers to get similar benefits of JIO Prime without changing the network. Both these recharges are circle dependent.
The Vodafone Rs 342 recharge provides unlimited local and STD voice and videos calls with 1 GB 4G data limit per day. The Rs 346 plan, however, offers 10 GB of 4G data a month and voice call limit of 300 minutes a day. If customers with Rs 346 plan consumers 300 minutes daily data cap, then he will be charged at existing rates.
Vodafone Customers who recharge with these plans will also his plan will be auto-renewed on the day of expiry. This scheme is only for prepaid customers and may not be available in all circles.
