Samsung confirms Galaxy A5 2018 smartphone

The year 2018 seems to be a great start to Samsung, atleast that speaks from the recent quarter results. The South Korean consumer electronics giant has now confirmed the existence of Samsung Galaxy A5(2018) after all new Samsung Galaxy A5 SM-A530 has been certified by Federal Communication Commission in the United States. The expected model number of the new smartphone is SM-A530 as its previous generations models have the similar model number SM-A520 (A5 2017), SM-A510 (A5 2016) and SM A500(original A5).

The smartphone has not been officially confirmed but its support page has some of its specifications mentioned. The device will support a dual Wi-Fi band support and will have an e-label for its FCC-mandated disclaimer. According to previous rumors, the new Samsung Galaxy SM-A530 will sport a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution. The fingerprint sensor is expected to be in the back since there’s not enough space for that on the front. The smartphone has been built with a modern look with pretty thin bezels.

Samsung Galaxy A5(2018) will be powered by a Exynos 7885 SoC chipset with 4 GB of RAM. Other features that include are side positioned speaker with 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB Type-C based charging port. It’s expected to run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box which is the latest version of Android.

Heading over this Samsung has also reportedly alleged launch of Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018). Both the devices are expected to be launched in early 2018.
